Selecting Trendy Tile

Don’t know which tile is right for your home? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! Tile selection has expanded in recent years to suite every design style! There’s a variety to choose from, so let’s just stick to five for now! Here’s my quick and easy Top 5 list of Trendy Tiles to help get you started:

“Wood”

Wait a minute… is that wood paneling in the shower??

Well… yes and no! It’s porcelain tiles made to look like wooden panels, pretty eye-catching right?! Mimicking the natural design pattern you see in wood, this porcelain tile is a perfect match for those of you who want something a bit more rustic styled home! Herringbone

If you’re a French fanatic like me, you’ve probably seen this tiling pattern before in a photo of some chic Parisian apartment. Herringbones tiling brings symmetry to any room through its bold geometrical pattern geometrical pattern! Perfect for contemporary spaces! And it doesn’t have to be just for flooring, it’s great for backsplashes too!

Metallic

Metallic tile comes Silver, Bronze, Copper, and Gold, making it work within any color palette and is perfect for industrial and contemporary design styles! Not to mention, the reflective surface adds a bit of sparkle and light to the space!

Glass

Depending on the process used to create the glass, each tile is different, making them the snowflakes of the design world! That’s what I love most about this tile, it’s uniqueness! They come in a variety of different colors and forms with some tiles containing little bubbles within them. This creates an amazing effect, making the tiles have a wet appearance. Marble & Mirror

Marble and mirror are popular tiles in their own right, but when you put them together, they’re a match made in Heaven! By using grey hues, the tiling instantly becomes a modern hit! The mirrored inset brings a bit more sparkle and natural lighting to the area! And if you want to go all out, I’d recommend using an antique mirror finish! It truly creates a classic design that withstands the test of time!
